Join RSL Mackay Sub Branch to commemorate ANZAC Day
At dawn on 25 April 1915, ANZAC troops landed at Gallipoli, starting a legacy that would live long after them.
The ANZAC Day Dawn Service echoes this moment, and the moment many a soldier has stood to arms.
Steeped in tradition, the Dawn Service is a poignant ceremony featuring the laying of wreaths, sounding of the Last Post and observance of a minute's silence.
Join the ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Mackay – hosted by Mackay RSL Sub Branch – to honour all Australians and New Zealanders who have served or sacrificed in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations since World War I.
DAWN SERVICE:
- 0430 Parade formation Macalister Street, Rear of the Entertainment Centre
- 0445 Parade moves off to Jubilee Park
- 0500 Call to order (Dawn Service)
- 0530 Fall out
- 0600 Breakfast served at Harrup Park
- 0745 Bus departs Harrup Park for Canelands for the morning Parade.
