  • Volunteering with RSL Queensland

You can make a difference. Anyone can help RSL Queensland support the veteran and wider community. To learn more about volunteering opportunities, contact your local Sub Branch or become a member.

Be of service to your community

Without thousands of passionate members across our state, much of what RSL Queensland does for veterans and their families wouldn’t be possible.

In 2024, members throughout our Districts and Sub Branches clocked up more than 562,758 volunteering hours on welfare and pension activities, commemorative events, fundraising and Sub Branch support.

Whether you have a spare hour or day, whether you prefer hands-on help or behind-the-scenes support, your experience matters. Your effort counts. You can make a difference to veterans, their families and others who need a helping hand.

    “Everyone's important”

Noel and Margaret Mallyon have helped veterans through Emerald RSL Sub Branch for 45 years. From promoting commemorations throughout the year to providing welfare support, the couple has had a great impact on veterans within the Emerald community. In Noel’s words, “Everyone’s important…We like to give with our hearts and our hands, not our hip pocket”.
