In 2025 we will celebrate 100 years since The Queensland Digger (now Queensland RSL News) was first published. That’s a centenary of telling veterans’ stories! We want you – our readers – to feel part of this milestone.

Inside Edition 1 you’ll find a special feature celebrating a century of telling veterans’ stories. For 100 years – since it was first published as The Queensland Digger in 1925 – our member magazine has honoured veterans and preserved our legacy.
We share the story of a rusty Bofors gun that is inspiring a future generation of tradies in Gladstone, mentored by local veterans.
You can also read about Corvette-class crewmen Alan Grimmer and Allan Quartermaine. These two World War II Navy veterans reflect on their service aboard and ashore during the war and their experiences once they finally returned home.
