Veteran Games

The Veteran Games is an Australian-first team competition that will put your military skills and experience to the test. Competitors will be required to compete as a team of 8 to solve problems and complete physical tasks drawn from military service and combat. You will need to train up to complete the Team Obstacle Course Challenge, Tug-of-War Competition, and other surprise events that will be revealed on the day. Each will provide you with the opportunity to showcase the skills, teamwork, and excellence of Australia’s contemporary military veterans. Each team will be required to complete all events and the champion team will be determined through an aggregate scoring system.

The Veteran Games format has been designed to be exciting and engaging for the wider public, with competitions taking place in locations that will be open to the public and captured or streamed online.

The inaugural Veteran Games will take place on the Gold Coast from Saturday 30 September to Monday 2 October with veterans competing in teams of eight.

RSL Queensland is offering members the opportunity to participate in the Veteran Games, a proactive health initiative for free! RSL Queensland will cover the cost of registrations ($75pp early bird price). Simply get your team of eight members together, nominate a Team Leader and register via the Veteran Games website. From Sunday 9 July the cost of registrations will be $100pp.

Team Leaders will need to complete the RSL Queensland reimbursement form, attach your team member’s receipts from Veteran Games and email to memberships@rslqld.org.

Team Leaders will be reimbursed within four weeks of submitting the reimbursement form.
