Active Lifestyles - Blacksmithing Workshop

Learn the basics of Blacksmithing in this highly rated workshop and create your own piece to take home.

RSL Queensland has selected Active Lifestyles events throughout Queensland to provide opportunities for veterans, current serving Defence members, partners, and children to take part in activities while connecting with fellow members of the Defence family.

During this workshop, you will see demonstrations from experienced blacksmiths in drawing, upsetting, squaring, rounding, riveting and barley twisting. All techniques you will be able to try yourself to create your own tool to take home.

This workshop requires no previous experience and is a great opportunity to learn something new with other like-minded people. The workshop does require you to stand, bend and work around hot flames.
