RSL Queensland is urging veterans and its members to reach out for support and counselling as the situation in Afghanistan deteriorates.

RSL Queensland State President Tony Ferris said veterans who served in the Middle East would undoubtedly be feeling great frustration and despair as the Taliban increased its hold over the country.

“Through Open Arms counselling and support services, RSL Queensland is ready and eager to help any veteran in need,” Mr Ferris said.

“RSL Queensland stands shoulder to shoulder with all veterans and I urge those who are impacted by the situation in Afghanistan to reach out to their Sub Branch for support." Click here to find your local Sub Branch.

“We are here to provide practical support, assistance, camaraderie and other services such as wellbeing and welfare assistance and critical support, to all veterans and members.

“More veterans live in Queensland than any other state, and RSL Queensland delivers more veteran support across the state than any other Australian ex-Services organisation.”
