Media Statement 20 January 2023

Today, we were made aware that a Sub Branch has recently supported a veteran owned business as a fundraiser to support a terminally ill veteran with Stage 4 cancer.

It has, however, been raised that the naming of the product is associated with allegations currently being investigated and promotion of this has inferred a position on the matter.

The Sub Branch’s association was never to cause harm or distress to the community, only to support a terminally ill veteran who was in need.

RSL Queensland and its Sub Branches remain dedicated to providing veterans and their families with support services and programs across the state and will continue to do so as its core focus.
