RSL Queensland members re-appoint Stephen Day DSC AM as State President at the 2024 State Congress.
On Saturday 22 June, RSL Queensland members re-elected State President Stephen Day DSC AM for an additional three-year term during its Annual General Meeting at the 2024 RSL Queensland State Congress in Brisbane.
He has served as State President since December 2021 and will continue in his role for the next three years.
“As a member-based organisation, our State Congress and AGM are a key part of our democratic process, helping us build and maintain trust within the organisation, and Saturday’s event was no different,” Mr Day said.
“Throughout the day, delegates heard from Australia’s Repatriation Commissioner Kahlil Fegan DSC AM as well as a number of Sub Branch representatives about camaraderie and how they each foster mateship within their communities.
“Thank you to all Sub Branch and District representatives who contributed to the day, we look forward to continuing our efforts to provide care, commemoration and camaraderie to veterans and their families.”
