RSL Queensland members re-appointed Wendy Taylor as State Deputy President at the 2023 State Congress.

On Saturday 24 June, RSL Queensland members re-elected State Deputy President Ms Wendy Taylor for an additional three-year term during its Annual General Meeting at the State Congress in Brisbane.
Ms Taylor will continue to serve alongside RSL Queensland State President Major General Stephen Day DSC AM and State Vice President Bill Whitburn OAM.

Training as a Registered Nurse, Ms Taylor served nine years in the Army Reserve and then 16 years in the regular Army, including senior nursing and Command roles in both the Gulf War and East Timor.
RSL Queensland State President Major General Stephen Day DSC AM welcomed the decision of members and congratulated Ms Taylor on her re-appointment.
“Our AGM is a key part of our democratic process, helping us build and maintain trust within the organisation, and Saturday’s event was no different,” MAJGEN Day said.
“I want to recognise the contribution to the process and the demonstration of their commitment to serve the League of the other three candidates, Doug Egan, Paddy Evans and Barry Vains OAM. I know each of them and am grateful that they will continue to contribute to the League in other ways.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Wendy as we continue to advance our efforts to offer care to those who need it, to commemorate those who have served and to extend camaraderie to all veterans and their families.”
