A toast to veterans

Sending Christmas hampers to veterans and their families has become a tradition for RSL Queensland. The hampers, filled with food, gifts and other goodies, will ensure the veteran community has an extra special festive season.

Bundaberg Brewed Drinks has been a proud supporter of the RSL Queensland Christmas Hamper project since it began in 2020, donating a range of premium non-alcoholic beverages for veterans and their families to enjoy.

CEO John McLean says this project is one they are honoured to play a part in as the Christmas season approaches.

“This is our fourth year being a part of the RSL Queensland Christmas Hamper Initiative, and it’s something that we are very proud to play a small role in,” John says.

“Our brand and range of brews are built around togetherness and sparking moments of joy, so having the opportunity to be a part of a heart-warming initiative such as this is another way to do just that.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and spread some Christmas cheer to those who have made such significant sacrifices for our country,” John says.

Since the early years, Bundaberg’s aim has been to use traditional brewing methods and the finest ingredients.

“Being a part of a project that directly supports Australian veterans over the holiday season brings immense pride across our business. Knowing that we have the platform, and the product, to help make Christmas a little brighter is truly heartening.”

RSL Queensland CEO Rob Skoda says it has been fantastic to have the support of Bundaberg Brewed Drinks over the years.

“The backing of our sponsors and donors enables us to continue supporting veterans year-on-year with a project that goes a long way to brighten up the festive season,” Rob says.

“We are incredibly thankful for the generosity afforded to RSL Queensland’s hamper initiative and hope to see it continue well into the future.”
