Trojan's Trek

Being ‘out bush’ with like-minded people can do wonders for your mental health. If you’re struggling with life beyond Defence, Trojan’s Trek can provide the ‘circuit breaker’ you need.

“I CAME AWAY WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE; I SEE THINGS EXACTLY AS THEY ARE AND AM DRIVING FORWARD. IT’S CONFRONTING, BUT NOT NECESSARILY BAD.” – AMY VICKERS, FORMER PARTICIPANT TURNED MENTOR

Over six days, while camping in peaceful bushland, you’ll learn tools and techniques to adjust your thinking and behaviour, relate to others without anger or aggression, and build self-esteem.

Trojan’s Trek is delivered by veterans for veterans, so you’ll learn from those who’ve been there before.

If you have served or are currently serving in the ADF, you’re eligible to participate in Trojan’s Trek. Male and female treks are run independently.

You will need a GP referral and, if you are still serving, you will also need clearance from your Commanding Officer .
There is no cost to participants for the trek itself; however there may be travel costs involved if participants are from outside Brisbane.

Support from RSL Queensland makes this possible.
