Introduction
The Sunnybank Sub Branch is part of the South Eastern District of RSL Queensland.
History:
We at the Sunnybank RSL Sub-Branch are proud to be a part of the largest ex-service organisation in Australia, providing advice, assistance and support to current and former Australian Defence Force members and their families throughout the Sunnybank region.
We are able to do this through the funds we raise, the support of the people around us, the assistance of our wider community and the support we receive from RSL Queensland.
The Sunnybank RSL Sub-Branch is a mid-sized traditional RSL sub-branch which is based on the south side of Brisbane and exists primarily to support the veteran and wider communities in our region.
Information:
Annual General Meetings: Annually in April/May on a Friday at 10am
General Meetings: Bimonthly on the second Friday at 10am
Committee Meetings: Bimonthly on the second Thursday at 10am
Commemorative days:
To ensure the effort and sacrifice made by the Sunnybank RSL Sub Branch veteran community and members of the ADF is commemorated appropriately.
- ANZAC Day
- An Annual Community Event which commemorates Korean War, Vietnam War, Malaya Borneo, Iraq, Afghanistan, East Timor and the Battle for Australia
- Remembrance Day
SERVICES OFFERED
- Drop in centre open on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays from 9.30am to 1.30pm
- Social activities – weekly bowls, bingo, card, craft, tai chi and gym groups
- Friday lunches for all members to attend
- JP services available
