RSL Queensland and Defence Community Organisation South Queensland are proud to invite you to our virtual Path to Wellbeing event.
During this practical workshop Registered Psychologist, Tatum McGregor will present the Gottman method, strategies, and practical examples to improve relationship communication and connection.
World-renowned for his work on marital stability and divorce prediction, John Gottman has conducted 40 years of breakthrough research with thousands of couples.
The goals of Gottman Method Couples Therapy are to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship. Tatum will be discussing some of the methods used in Gottman Therapy.
DCO South Queensland Social Worker, Rachel Niven will also present on ‘Common relationship challenges experienced over an ADF lifespan/career’ and the DCO social work support services available to members and partners.
ADF Members, Veterans and their families are welcome to join this live online event.
