Victory in the Pacific Commemoration

VP80 - Saturday 23rd August 2025

VP Day (Victory in the Pacific Day) is a very important occasion for all Australians. It holds special significance for the generation who endured the Second World War, particularly our veterans and for those whose loved ones never returned.

It signifies the end of a time in our recent history when Australia was vulnerable to Japanese invasion; when freedom as we know it was very seriously threatened.

The Victory in the Pacific 80th Anniversary commemoration, hosted by RSL South Eastern District, is to be held at the Officers Mess Lawns in New Farm.

We are particularly seeking any WWII veterans that would like to be invited as our Guests of Honour, please contact our District Events team.

If decedents or the public are interested in attending, please contact the District Events team on 07 3358 3361 or events@rslsouthqueensland.org as space is limited.
