Join the main 2026 ANZAC Day service in THURINGOWA CENTRAL to honour the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs and all the service members who have followed in their footsteps. 

ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I. 

In the time-honoured tradition of ANZAC Day services, the main THURINGOWA CENTRAL ANZAC Day Ceremony – hosted by Thuringowa RSL Sub Branch – will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post and the observance of a minute's silence.

Townsville City Council presents official Anzac Day Commemorations in partnership with the Thuringowa RSL Sub Branch.

• 9.30am – Mid-morning service, Thuringowa Cenotaph, Riverway Precinct
