Samford Remembrance Day Service

Join us to commemorate

On Tuesday 11 November, join Samford RSL Sub Branch for its 2025 Remembrance Day service to honour all who have served and sacrificed for their nation. 

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I. It’s a time for us to remember all who have given their lives in service, including in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. 

The 2025 Samford RSL Sub Branch Remembrance Day ceremony will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post, and the observance of a minute's silence at 11am.  

RSL Queensland stands alongside veterans and their families across the country and recognises the invaluable contribution of all Defence Force personnel. 

The service is to be held at the Samford Avenue of Honour, with plenty of parking at the Soccer Club grounds.

The service will start at 10:30am. Some seating will be available under the marquee, in case of hot or wet weather.

You are welcome to lay a wreath or flowers as part of the service. The Catafalque Party will be provided by 2SQN of the 2 Combat Engineer Regiment based at Gallipoli Barracks.

After the service all members of the public are welcome to come to the Samford RSL (corner of Main and Progress Street) for refreshments and fellowship.

The service will conclude at 11:05am.
