    Join us to commemorate

On Tuesday 11 November, join Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch for its 2025 Remembrance Day service to honour all who have served and sacrificed for their nation.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I. It’s a time for us to remember all who have given their lives in service, including in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

The 2025 Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch Remembrance Day ceremony will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post, and the observance of a minute's silence at 11am.

RSL Queensland stands alongside veterans and their families across the country and recognises the invaluable contribution of all Defence Force personnel.

Remembrance Day Service Tuesday 11 November commences 1030h at Anzac Place Cenotaph, Lae Drive, Runaway Bay

Wreaths will be laid during the service to commemorate veterans with public invited to participate, and the Biggera Waters School Choir will be in attendance.

A possible fly-over by aircraft from the Southport Flying Club is scheduled to occur at 1100h.

Members of the public are invited to attend.
