RSL Rec Connect – Meet, move and make for a more connected life!

RSL Rec Connect helps veterans and their families connect through a diverse calendar of recreational events. RSL Rec Connect events are held throughout the year in various locations across Queensland. Veterans and current serving Defence members, and their partners and children are welcome. 

Enjoy a relaxed cruise through the waterways of Mooloolaba Harbour, winding along the river and canals past the well-known fishing fleet, pilot boats, and leisure vessels. Head towards the river entrance for beautiful views stretching across Mooloolaba Bay. 

Indulge in some of the coast’s freshest seafood from Mooloolah River Fisheries, and catch a glimpse of Steve Irwin’s marine research vessel, Croc One. Then continue along the main river and canals, passing the stunning waterfront homes of Minyama on the exclusive Millionaires Row. 

Event Highlights: 

• Catered Lunch: Choose from 8 lunch options onboard from prawns, fish, calamari to a classic hamburger. Please note this is an alcohol-free event, soft drinks will be available for purchase. 

• Relaxed opportunity to cruise the beautiful Sunshine Coast waters while connecting with other Defence families.  

Requirements    

• This activity is open to ADF Veterans, current serving Defence members, their partners and children. Please consider if this activity will be suitable for your children.  

• Please note that prior to the event, you will be required to complete an RSL QLD waiver. All attendees will be unable to participate without completing the waiver.
