RSL Rec Connect helps veterans and their families connect through a diverse calendar of recreational events. RSL Rec Connect events are held throughout the year in various locations across Queensland. ADF veterans, current serving Defence members, partners and children are welcome to this event.  

In this walking Llama Farm Tour, you will discover the heart of farm life, and enjoy an engaging, family‑friendly experience set on 80 picturesque acres at The Llama Farm — home to Queensland’s largest llama herd.  

This immersive tour introduces you not only to the resident llamas but also alpacas, camels, donkeys, goats, dogs, and a lively assortment of poultry. It’s a hands‑on, interactive adventure designed to educate and delight, with plenty of opportunities to capture memorable photos along the way.  

A great opportunity for Defence families to meet and spend time together, the Llama Farm Tour offers a down‑to‑earth experience with plenty of interaction and shared enjoyment. 

Requirements: 

• Open to veterans, current serving Defence members, partners and children. Children must be attending with a supervising adult.
• This is a walking farm tour and requires a medium level of fitness, as you will be walking on uneven ground and going up slight hills. 

What to bring: 

• Must wear closed-in walking shoes. NO thongs or sandals are to be worn (this includes children).
• Please bring a hat/sunscreen as you will be outdoors in the sun for almost all of the tour.

Please note that prior to the event, you will be required to complete an RSL QLD waiver. All attendees will be unable to participate without completing the waiver.
