Murgon Remembrance Day Service

Join us to commemorate

On Tuesday 11 November, join Murgon RSL Sub Branch for its 2025 Remembrance Day service to honour all who have served and sacrificed for their nation. 

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I. It’s a time for us to remember all who have given their lives in service, including in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. 

The 2025 Murgon RSL Sub Branch Remembrance Day ceremony will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post, and the observance of a minute's silence at 11am.  

RSL Queensland stands alongside veterans and their families across the country and recognises the invaluable contribution of all Defence Force personnel. 

Murgon RSL Sub Branch invites the Murgon and District residents, visitors and travellers to attend a short Remembrance Day Service to be conducted in Murgon at the War Memorial Lamb Street, Murgon on Tuesday 11th November 2025.

Meet at the Cenotaph at 10:30am for a service including the playing of the Last Post.

A 1 minute silence will be observed at 11am.  

The service will conclude after the wreath laying.  

If you are intending to lay a wreath, please arrive a few minutes early so that your name can be added to the list.
