Join us to commemorate
Join the main 2026 ANZAC Day service in Beachmere to honour the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs and all the service members who have followed in their footsteps.
ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I.
In the time-honoured tradition of ANZAC Day services, the main Beachmere ANZAC Day Ceremony – hosted by Beachmere RSL Sub Branch – will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post and the observance of a minute's silence.
Those veterans and family members wishing to march are to form up at the intersection of Moreton Terrace and Second Avenue (near the Beachmere Uniting Church) before 6.30 am.
The service will be on Saturday 25 April and the march will commence at 6.40 am and the service will start at 7.00am.
The Main service will be held in Clayton Park and we will be having wreath laying ceremony and a Catafalque Party conducted by local Cadet groups.
There will also be a gun-fire breakfast provided for RSL Sub Branch members and families at the Beachmere Tavern after the ANZAC Day service and non members are welcome to purchase a 'Build your Own Breaky Burger' from the tavern also.
This will also be followed up by Two-Up being hosted by the tavern in the afternoon.
All are welcome.
