Join the main 2026 ANZAC Day service in Mitchelton to honour the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs and all the service members who have followed in their footsteps.
ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I.
In the time-honoured tradition of ANZAC Day services, the main Mitchelton ANZAC Day Ceremony – hosted by Gaythorne RSL Sub Branch – will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post and the observance of a minute's silence.
Members of the public are invited to the Gaythorne RSL Sub Branch ANZAC Day Ceremony which will be held in Sid Loder Park in Tel-el-Kebir Street on Saturday 25 April.
6:45am - Service commences. Mt Maria College Choir will provide the music, with Gallipoli Barracks providing the catafalque.
7:25am - RAAF flyover of Jet.
7:30am - Service finishes.
