Join us to commemorate

Join the main 2026 ANZAC Day service in Samford Valley to honour the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs and all the service members who have followed in their footsteps. 

ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I. 

In the time-honoured tradition of ANZAC Day services, the main Samford Valley ANZAC Day Ceremony – hosted by Samford RSL Sub Branch – will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post and the observance of a minute's silence.

Service Times
8:00am – Service commences
9:00am – Service concludes

Organisations or groups wishing to lay a wreath are requested to email Samford RSL at samford@rslqld.org by NLT 15 April 2026. Please include the correct name of the person laying the wreath, along with the name of the organisation or group they represent.

Each participating group will be allocated a sign, with a nominated member leading the group during the march. All groups and individuals taking part are asked to form up by 7:30am, ready for step-off.

Covered seating will be available for veterans, people with disabilities, and the elderly.

Parking for dignitaries and people with disabilities will be accessible via Burton Lane and will be managed by the Queensland Police Service, with assistance from the Samford Rural Fire Brigade.

General parking will be available near the soccer grounds and across the road at the tennis courts.

The Samford RSL Sub Branch is committed to delivering a meaningful and memorable ANZAC Day service for our community.
