      Helping carers to stay strong

Through Operation PTSD Support, partners and carers of veterans can take a break from the stress of caring for their loved one, share experiences with others who are in a similar situation, and learn more about PTSD and mental health first aid.

Operation PTSD Support runs regular respite events – such as coffee outings, yoga, craft activities and more – plus respite retreats on the Gold Coast. Veteran partners and carers can also join Operation PTSD Support’s private online community to connect, ask for advice, or participate in local social events.

It made me stronger. I can better cope with my husband's illness and how it impacts me and the family. Life is much better now. It's friendship and companionship that makes the bigger difference in the world.
