Remembrance Day Service - Helidon

Join the Helidon RSL Sub Branch to commemorate.

On Wednesday 11 November, join Helidon RSL Sub Branch for its 2026 Remembrance Day service to honour all who have served and sacrificed for their nation.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I. It’s a time for us to remember all who have given their lives in service, including in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

The 2026 Helidon RSL Sub Branch Remembrance Day ceremony will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post, and the observance of a minute's silence at 11am.

RSL Queensland stands alongside veterans and their families across the country and recognises the invaluable contribution of all Defence Force personnel.

A Remembrance Day ceremony is to be held at the Soldiers Memorial at the corner of Turner and Railway Streets in Helidon.

Service will commence just before 11am, so a minute's silence can be observed at 11, followed by a presentation by the Helidon State School senior students and one other speaker. Seating and shelter will be provided.  All attendees are invited back to the Helidon RSL Sub Branch for refreshments after the ceremony.
