Rec Connect – Wood Burning Workshop

RSL Rec Connect – Meet, move and make for a more connected life! 

RSL Rec Connect helps veterans and their families connect through a diverse calendar of recreational events. RSL Rec Connect events are held throughout the year in various locations across Queensland. Veterans and current serving Defence members, and their partners and children are welcome.  

Event: Come and join us for a wood burning workshop. A hands-on, creative session where participants learn the art of pyrography—drawing or decorating wood using heated tools. All necessary materials, safety gear, and guidance from an experienced instructor will be provided. This workshop requires no previous experience and is a great opportunity to learn something new with other like-minded people.  

• No artistic experience needed.  

• You’ll be guided you every step of the way.  

Requirements:  

• This activity is open to ADF Veterans, current serving Defence members, their partners and children (over the age of 12). Please consider if this activity will be suitable for your children. 

• Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. 

• Must wear enclosed shoes.

Location: RSL Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre Brisbane. Level 1, 274 Stafford Road, Stafford, Qld 4053 

Cost: Free 

Please note that prior to the event, you will be required to complete an RSL QLD waiver and an caves waiver. This will be emailed to you after registration. All attendees will be unable to participate without completing the waivers.
