Tattoos often tell a story – of service, sacrifice, belonging, and remembrance.
Ink in the Lines, a touring exhibition from the Australian War Memorial, explores these stories through more than 70 powerful portraits of 22 Australian servicemen and servicewomen.
This groundbreaking exhibition is the first of its kind in Australia to delve into the role of tattoos in the military – revealing deeply personal expressions of identity, mateship, and memory.
