The annual initiative by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs aims to raise awareness around improving the mental and physical health of veterans, current serving Defence Force members, and their families.
The theme for Veterans’ Health Week 2025 – Connect, Move, Nourish: Thrive 365 – highlights the importance of not limiting veterans’ health and wellbeing to one week but making it a year-round focus.
Taking that first step towards looking after yourself isn’t always easy and it can be hard to know where to start. At RSL Queensland, we’re here to help you find purpose, connection and support through a range of health and wellbeing services designed to help veterans and their families thrive.
To help veterans connect, stay active and nourish their bodies, the RSL Be:Well modules (all available free online) explore these key health areas and more.
Further health and wellbeing support is also available nationwide through Mates4Mates services and RSL Peer-Led Programs.
Providing mateship at a community level, RSL Sub Branches throughout the state also regularly host events, all year round, which veterans and their families are encouraged to participate in.
To see what’s happening near you, check out the RSL Sub Branch events on our What’s On page.
Free RSL Rec Connect events are also held throughout the state, throughout the year, to help veterans get active, get creative and get connected.
