Taking the first steps to improving your health and wellbeing can be tricky.
That’s why RSL Queensland has created RSL Be:Well – a free, health and wellbeing-focused online program designed specifically for veterans.
RSL Be:Well is backed by the latest in veteran health information conducted by RSL Queensland’s research partner Gallipoli Medical Research (GMR).
The program provides simple, evidence-informed tips and resources to help you tackle common challenges that veterans face, and feel better physically, mentally and emotionally.
“Our ongoing investment in veteran health research is fundamental to understanding, and effectively addressing, the needs of our veteran community,” RSL Queensland Deputy CEO – Veteran Services Troy Watson says.
“RSL Be:Well is an innovative digital service offering that complements our other services, allowing veterans – wherever they might be – to easily access reliable, relevant information on targeted health concerns.
“It’s a simple and interactive way to understand some of the common challenges many veterans face, and take proactive steps to manage those challenges.
“It’s important to note that RSL Be:Well isn’t a substitute for seeking help, but if you’re a veteran wanting to better your health and wellbeing, RSL Be:Well gives you the tools to get started.”
RSL Be:Well currently features nine veteran-centric topics:
Each 20-minute module is self- directed – letting you decide what to learn and set your own pace – and filled with interactive tools, practical tips and recommended resources. Additional topics will be available regularly.
An online, ‘self-serve’ addition to RSL Queensland’s range of veteran services, RSL Be:Well is an ideal starting point for any veteran keen to achieve a healthier body, mindset and relationships.
“The research behind RSL Be:Well has clearly highlighted the key health and wellbeing challenges affecting veterans today, and the most effective ways of addressing those challenges,” GMR Chief Executive Officer Miriam Kent says.
“RSL Be:Well translates years of veteran-specific research into simple yet easy-to-follow tips that veterans can easily adopt and benefit from.”
RSL Be:Well is free and available anywhere, any time.
