2019 State Congress FOLLOW UP

The Board notifies members that the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) scheduled for 30 November 2019 will no longer be held.

On 9 September, RSL Queensland’s Company Secretary received written notification that Brisbane North Sub Branches had revoked their request to hold an EGM.

This means the Board is no longer required to hold a meeting under the provisions of Clause 6.4 and 6.7 of the Constitution, and no vote or meeting will be held on 30 November 2019.

Constitution update

The RSL Queensland Board intends to take a revised Constitution to vote at the 2020 AGM. A Constitution Working Party has been convened to develop the draft Constitution, which will be available for members’ feedback in due course.

We will keep members informed of the Working Party’s progress through regular updates.
