97 Governance Constitution & Awards Committee In 2021, the Constitution and Awards Committee was modified to become the Governance Constitution & Awards Committee. This new committee was formed in February 2021, and all- new committee members were appointed in the second half of the year. The Governance Constitution & Awards Committee provides the Board with advice and recommendations on governance issues, memberships, RSL Awards, Constitutions and By-Laws. This includes matters relating to the development of proposed State, District and Sub Branch Constitutions and awards. A focus for the committee throughout the year was supporting Sub Branches and Districts with changes to their constitutions and governance documents, and towards the end of the year there was an uplift in Awards reporting and processes. BILLWHITBURN OAM Chair, Governance Constitution & Awards Committee RSL Queensland Committees continued Veteran Affairs & Policy Committee The new Veteran Affairs & Policy Committee was formed in the second half of 2021 to support and inform the newly created Veteran Affairs and Policy portfolio within RSL Queensland. New committee members were appointed, and the committee met for the first time in November. In 2021, the Veteran Affairs & Policy Committee provided oversight and supported management with the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide submissions and other matters.
