/ Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation Remembrance through research 85 RSL Queensland Annual Report | 2021 Annual Highlights Enhanced support for veteran families – an integrated solution Research shows that the health and wellbeing needs of families intensify as veterans transition from full-time military service to civilian life. However, families with different health and socioeconomic needs can face challenges navigating the many services and programs offered by military and civilian systems of care. In 2021, GMRF delivered the results of a year-long project investigating the experiences of families and service providers while navigating the current systems of care. The results were published in early 2022 and highlight specific areas to improve support for families with a veteran.
