RSLQ 2021 Annual Report
23 Continued on next page RSL Queensland Annual Report | 2021 R SL Queensland made great strides towards implementing our Strategy this year, with significant growth in our commercial arm and the expansion of services to veterans. We also took the opportunity to reflect on the progress made to date and review our priorities under our Strategic Plan, ensuring our key programs of work remain inline with our overall goals of helping veterans and the wider Defence community. Notable achievements this year include: • The completion of our managed IT roll out to Sub Branches and Districts • Development preparation for the Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre to be based in North Brisbane • Continued year-on-year growth of the RSL Art Union • Establishment of the Veteran Affairs and Policy portfolio • Increased service provision within our Service Delivery team. As we continue to work toward achieving our goals, our focus remains on the expansion of our services to veterans, increasing our membership base, and growing our RSL Art Union revenue. In 2021, we achieved the following inline with our strategic goals: RELEVANCE • Delivered a trial with transitioning members participating in the Brisbane Soldier Recovery (SRC) Program undertaking the RSL Queensland General Intake and Assessment (GIA) process. The initiative connected serving members with relevant services prior to separation from Defence and was supported to be continued for all 2022 Brisbane SRC programs • Launched Go Beyond, a new online program developed in partnership with Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation designed to help guide veterans to improve their adjustment and reintegration to civilian life • Completed the Sub Branch Discovery Project and the District Discovery Project, which saw us connect and engage with members at a District and Sub Branch level to better understand their critical work to better the lives of veterans. These insights informed how we can better support our members and resource our networks to improve veterans’ experiences of RSL Queensland • Launched a new brand campaign, More Than You Know, to raise awareness for the variety of services that RSL Queensland offers by telling stories of how we help veterans. The campaign launched in October and will continue to roll out throughout 2022. 2021 PROGRESS RSL Queensland Strategic Plan 2021 Progress
