Fellow members and friends,
The past four weeks have been a whirlwind of activities and engagements.
In the past fortnight, I met with Dr Gary Johns and Prue Monument from the ACNC. During our discussion, they indicated the ACNC is generally satisfied with the progress RSL Queensland is making, and welcomed ongoing communication. Your District Presidents have received a detailed report from me, so please contact them if you have any additional questions about this.
Last week State Branch staff had their half-yearly Town Hall meeting. The Directors and I took the opportunity to talk with staff about the different Districts and the issues presented by the different demographics and locations of each.
I was also given the opportunity to comment in the media on various issues. This is a key responsibility for the State President, and I will continue to address matters of importance to our great organisation as they arise.
In the coming week, I will be attending a number of significant events. On Tuesday, I will have the honour of presenting some Life Memberships at the Maroochydore RSL Sub Branch and on Sunday, I will be attending two 100th birthday celebrations!
I would like to thank each and every one of you for the support and congratulations you have given me to date. As always, I am happy to answer any questions you may have about other activities and events in which I am involved.
